What does it mean if my test is rejected?

A rejection means the lab could not process and analyze your sample. The following is a list of reasons why your sample could have been rejected:

  • A sample was received more than three days after collection
  • The individual was under 30 years of age
  • The individual was not a biological female
  • There is no sample strip in the sample tube
  • No buffer solution was present in the sample tube
  • More than one buffer solution was used
  • The ice pack was not included in the return mailer
  • The sample solution was cloudy or had a color other than clear
  • The sample label was not correctly or completely filled out
  • The identifiers on the sample label did not match the customer profile
  • The sample was from an expired kit
